Nothing special, there are just a few thoughts that have crossed my mind recently.
One of them is the following:
The best, freshest, most vibrant, most powerfull colours are found in nature (no shit), BUT: why do natural gradients of blue, orange, green and purple look so amazing? Let me explain this to you. I would never, for instance, wear the combination mentionned above, but a sunset featuring those colours just looks beautiful and breathtaking. I wouldn't design a website with a gradient like the one mentionned, yet a field next to a lake in autumn leaves me speechless. I wouldn't paint a house in these colours, yet the sunset behind a house in the dawn would look perfect.
Why is it that the weirdest colour-combinations look so good when they're natural? Is it because we simply don't question the flawlessness of nature? Because nature can't be wrong? If nature can't be wrong, what would you call a Platipus?
If you read this, let me know what you think.
Take care,
Stefan
